Bentley Glaser continued the strong defense of his Fall 2020 season championship with a victory at Bristol, sustaining a growing points lead and cementing a spot in the playoff grid. Glaser has been knocking on the door all season, but finally found himself up front when it mattered most.
Glaser was the fifth winner in as many races this season, demonstrating the parity across the top of the ASL Elite Series roster. In fact, many drivers found themselves running up front at various points in the race, with pit strategy and cautions shuffling the running order at various points.
Joshua Sarif looked like an early favorite, leading a race high 113 laps before fading to fifth place late into the night. Brenden Madonia picked up his first top-5 of of the season and gave Glaser a run for his money late. Johnny Avila (3rd) and Todd Cray (4th) rounded out the rest of the top 5.
The Elite Series is off until Feb. 21’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
