After leading a race high 106 laps, Josh Connors looked poised to take his second victory of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. However, a hard charging Bentley Glaser closed the gap late in the race and made the winning pass with five laps remaining to secure his sixth career ASL Elite Series victory.
The Miami 300 went caution free, with Connors pulling away to a commanding lead during the early stages of the race. Over the course of two green flag pit cycles, Glaser eventually made his way to the front and kept touch with Connors over the final 40-lap run to the checkers. Johnny Avila, Adam Matz and Jeff Yenisch rounded out the Top 5.
The Elite Series heads next to Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s famed oval for the Jenkins Construction Brickyard 175 on Sunday, Feb. 28.
