Rookie Kian Raleigh won in his first career ASL Elite Series start at Circuit of the Americas. In the first half of the Texas Two Step Double Header, Raleigh led from flag to flag, except for the one lap when he came to pit road for service.
Johnny Avila hounded Raleigh late in the race, however, he was unable to get past Raleigh and seize control. Adam Matz continued his strong start to the season, finishing third. Derek Pemberton and Duane Hunt rounded out the top5. It was Pemberton’s best career finish in the ASL Elite Series with 4th, while Hunt continues a streak of top5s at all of the RCs run to-date in the series (dating back to the Daytona RC in the trucks last fall).
