Ringler Stretches Fuel to Win at Michigan

Trent Ringler managed to save just enough fuel to snag his first win of the Summer 2021 season. After the final stage break, Ringler managed to both remain near the front of the pack and conserve fuel to make it an incredible 36 laps on his final tank of gas. The only other two drivers to successfully pull off the same strategy, Jeff Yenisch and Duane Hunt, rounded out the top three. Trent set a new league record for largest margin of victory at 9.055 seconds and becomes the first driver to record an Elite series win in the Truck, Cup, and Xfinity car.

In the early stages, we nearly made it to the halfway stage break until Todd Guess and Jackson Van Volkinburg got together in Turn 3, sending both into the outside wall. The untimely caution caught several competitors a lap down after pitting under green. Following the ensuing five lap sprint to the stage break, Steve Yenisch took the stage win and the 10 accompanying bonus points.

The Elite Series next heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on June 27. Catch the action live on Trackside Racing Network!
