Johnny Avila won his third race of the season and extended his points lead to a comfortable 28 point cushion with just four races remaining in the regular season. For Avila, it was a homecoming to celebrate, as the Canadian driver took home the trophy at the first event north of the border in ASL history.
Avila started from pole and led every lap, except for the two laps leading to the scheduled competition caution, when Hunter Waters elected to stay out. Avila resumed the lead during the competition caution and never looked back.
Alexander Hammonds made things interesting, and remained within a second during much of the final 15 laps. However, his tires eventually faded to third after Adam Matz passed him with three laps to go. Waters managed to finish fourth and Bentley Glaser rounded out the Top 5.
