Duane Hunt took advantage of a blistering fast car and made the strategy call of the race, staying out on old tires when many of his fellow front-runners pitted for fresh rubber in the final 50 laps. When the race went green to the end, Hunt built enough of a gap over Joe Burchett to seal the victory.
Hunt won the pole and also dominated his heat race, with teammate Adam Matz winning the second heat. It was perhaps MPH Alliance’s most impressive showing since the Fall 2021 Elite Series finale, where Hunt won the season championship.
Overtake Motorsports had a solid showing, with Burchett, Levi Allen and Derek Pemberton each finishing in the Top 5.
The Super Late Model Tour presented by Law Chevrolet-Buick is off until June, where Langley Speedway is up next on the schedule. ASL returns to action on Sunday, April 3 at Las Vegas for its regular season finale.
