Driver’s Meeting – Iowa

The race server will be in the “League Sessions” area of iRacing. You will not need a password to enter as a registered driver in the league. Entry to the server will be first come, first serve. The server this week allows for 43 maximum entries.

We ask all drivers to be in the Discord server before Qualifying begins. Trackside Racing Network may pull in drivers for interviews under yellow flag or after the race. Most importantly, the top three finishers will be interviewed immediately after the race.

This is the second round of the Fall 2021 playoffs!

Server Opens: 7:15 pm Eastern (open practice)

Qualifying: 8:00 pm Eastern (2 laps)

Warmup: 8:05 pm Eastern

Race: 8:30 pm Eastern (150 laps)

Fixed Setup: iowa_oval (default fixed setup)

Sim time: 2021-08-08 18:15 1x at start of practice.

Weather: Realistic

Track state: 0% at start of practice, rubber carries over through each session. Marbles cleaned between sessions.

Cautions: Automatic

Fuel capacity: 75%

Tire limit: 3 extra sets in the pits

GWC: 3 attempts

Penalties from previous race:

Lap 2 – #02 wasn’t clear and came up into the path of #33. Strike issued, #02 will start next race at rear.

Lap 54 – #02 self spun off Turn 2. No strike issued as no other drivers were directly impacted.

Lap 79 – #81 made contact with #30 in Turn 1. Strike issued to #81 (2nd strike).

Lap 85 – #23 made contact with #89 in Turn 2 trying to evade the slowing #24. No strike issued, as #23 had to make evasive maneuver onto the apron and got loose.

Lap 90 – #81 spun in Turn 1. No strike issued, as no other drivers were directly impacted.

Lap 98 – PROTEST RECEIVED. #91 came up into #93 off Turn 4, resulting in #93 making contact with the wall. #91 issued a strike and will start next race from the rear.

Lap 107 – #7 hit the wall and made contact with several cars. #7 issued strike and will start next race from the rear.

Lap 118 – #81 self spun off Turn 2, which led to collisions with #89 and #31. Strike issued (3rd), which results in a one race suspension.

Lap 124 – PROTEST RECEIVED. #30 made contact with #19 entering Turn 1, causing a wreck. #30 issued a strike and will start next race from the rear.

Drivers may anonymously protest drivers for additional incidents, which do not bring out a caution, within 24 hours of an event. The protest form is located under the League Info Menu on the website.

Drivers who do not agree with an admin board penalty ruling may protest to the Appeals Board. The protest form is located under the League Info Menu on the website.
