Driver’s Meeting – Watkins Glen

The race server will be in the “League Sessions” area of iRacing. You will not need a password to enter as a registered driver in the league. Entry to the server will be first come, first serve. The server this week allows for 43 maximum entries.

All drivers should be in the TeamSpeak server before Qualifying begins. Trackside Racing Network may pull in drivers for interviews under yellow flag or after the race. Most importantly, the top three finishers will be interviewed immediately after the race.

This race is a crown jewel event. Daytona winner Josh Connors is eligible for the $100 grand prize if he can win the remaining three crown jewel events. All other drivers are eligible for $25 if they can win the remaining three crown jewel events.

This race will feature a competition caution on Lap 17. The top 10 drivers, as scored when the caution flies, will be awarded stage points.

Track state: 0% at start of practice, rubber carries over through each session. Marbles cleaned between sessions.

Cautions: None, except competition caution on Lap 17, which will restart single file.

Tire limit: 3 extra sets in the pits

Penalties from previous race:

Lap 1 – #21 hit wall and contacted another car, causing wreck (EOL at next attended race)
Lap 24 – #93 failed to hold line on backstraight, causing wreck (EOL at next attended race)
Lap 30 – Overruled as no fault incident by Appeals Board. No penalty issued.
Lap 39 – #82 failed to hold line entering Turn 3, causing wreck (EOL at next attended race). Upheld by Appeals Board.
Lap 44 – #56 did not have position entering Turn 3, causing wreck (EOL at next attended race). No penalty on #23 issued based on Appeals Board ruling.
Lap 50 – #10 drove in too deep into Turn 1, causing wreck (EOL at next attended race)

Drivers may anonymously protest drivers for additional incidents, which do not bring out a caution, within 24 hours of an event. The protest form is located under the League Info Menu on the website.

Drivers who do not agree with an admin board penalty ruling may protest to the Appeals Board. The protest form is located under the League Info Menu on the website.
